TORONTO - Police are worried about the disappearance of a Markham woman.
Fang Lin, 40, was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at a strip mall in the Bayview and 16th Ave. area in Richmond Hill.
"We are seriously concerned" about the woman's disappearance, Det. Steve Morrell said Friday.
He said the disappearance of the woman, who is on a disability allowance and is a mom, is unprecedented.
Lin, who lives in the Warden Ave.-Hwy. 7 area, has never been away from her family without contact for any substantial period of time.
Police said she may be driving her purple Porsche Cayenne with Ontario market BLFP 188.
She is described as being about 5-foot-3, about 120 pounds with a thin build, has shoulder-length brown hair and has brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, a black sweater, and a black skirt.
Morrell asks anyone who has information about Lin to call York's 5 District CIB at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7541, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at 1800222tips.com.
